Researchers should work with partners who are transparent about where respondents come from, and who are willing to source across multiple curated providers, not just dump everything into a one-stop exchange. Because that one-stop shop? It’s convenient. But it’s also the heart of the problem. If sample exchanges want to have a future, they need to do more than tweak fraud filters or make vague claims about “AI-powered quality tools.” But let’s be real, most aren’t interested in fixing the issue. Many seem more focused on restoring reputations than rebuilding trust.

Market research deserves better than survey sludge and smoke-and-mirrors supply chains. We need fewer buzzwords and more backbone.
